Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect information when you use renegadepayments.com and our statement analysis tool.

Last updated: August 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Renegade Payments ("Renegade Payments," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit renegadepayments.com, use our statement analysis tool, contact us, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Services").

Please read this Policy together with our Terms of Service and our Cookie Policy.

1. Summary of Key Points

  • We serve businesses, not consumers. Our Services are offered to business owners and their authorized representatives for commercial purposes. We do not knowingly provide consumer financial products or services to individuals for personal, family, or household purposes.
  • You control what you send us. Our statement analysis tool accepts documents that you choose to upload. You should redact anything you do not want us to receive.
  • Do not send us sensitive personal information. We do not want, and ask you not to submit, Social Security numbers, full bank account or payment card numbers, government identification numbers, health information, or consumer credit report information through this website. See Section 4.
  • We use analytics and session recording, but only if you accept. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site. It does not load unless you accept analytics cookies. Text displayed in your statement analysis results is masked in your browser before it is transmitted. See Section 8.
  • We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • You have rights. Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. See Section 12.

2. Who We Are and Scope of This Policy

Renegade Payments provides payment processing solutions, pricing analysis, and merchant account referral and support services to businesses in the United States. This Policy applies to information we collect through the Services.

This Policy does not apply to:

  • Information collected by payment processors, acquiring banks, sponsor banks, or other financial institutions that ultimately provide or underwrite your merchant account. Those parties are independent and have their own privacy notices and, where applicable, their own Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act privacy notices.
  • Information collected by third-party websites or tools that we link to, including scheduling and application platforms.

If you become a merchant customer, additional privacy notices may be provided to you by the processor or sponsor bank at the time you apply.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information you provide directly

Contact and inquiry information. When you submit our contact form, we collect your full name, business name, business email address, phone number, monthly processing volume, current processor, the plan you are interested in, and any additional details you choose to write in the notes field.

Account and signup information. When you begin an application through our website, we collect your first name, last name, and email address in order to route you to the appropriate application.

Chat messages. If you use the chat feature on our website, we collect the content of the messages you send, along with basic session information needed to respond.

Scheduling information. If you book a call with us, that booking is handled by a third-party scheduling provider and is governed by that provider's privacy notice.

Statement analysis submissions. If you use our statement analysis tool, we collect the merchant processing statement or other document you upload (PDF, JPG, or PNG), together with the data extracted from it. Processing statements commonly contain business identifying information such as your legal or "doing business as" name, business address, merchant identification number, processing volumes, transaction counts, interchange categories, and the fees you were charged.

Before your document is processed, we present a consent screen describing that the document contents will be transmitted to and processed by third-party artificial intelligence cloud services in order to extract fields and generate your analysis, and that the data may be forwarded for underwriting purposes. Your document is not processed unless you affirmatively provide that consent.

3.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect:

  • Device and connection data, such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen dimensions, and referring URL.
  • Usage data, such as pages viewed, time spent on pages, scroll depth, clicks, and navigation paths.
  • Session recording data, which reconstructs how a page was viewed and interacted with. See Section 8 for important detail on how this is masked.
  • Security data, such as request patterns and challenge results generated by our web application firewall to detect and block automated abuse.

Cookies and similar technologies used for these purposes are described in our Cookie Policy.

3.3 Information from other sources

We may receive information about you from referral partners, processors and sponsor banks with whom we work, publicly available business records and websites, and vendors that provide business contact or firmographic data.

4. Information We Ask You Not To Send Us

Our Services are designed for business pricing analysis. They are not designed or intended to receive sensitive personal information.

You agree not to submit through this website, and we ask that you redact before uploading, any of the following:

  • Social Security numbers, individual taxpayer identification numbers, or tax return information
  • Full bank account numbers, routing numbers, or full payment card numbers, expiration dates, or security codes
  • Driver's license numbers, passport numbers, or other government identification numbers
  • Account credentials, passwords, PINs, or security codes
  • Protected health information, medical information, or consumer health data
  • Consumer credit reports or information derived from consumer credit reports
  • Precise geolocation data, biometric data, or any category of information treated as "sensitive personal information" under applicable law
  • Personal information about any individual consumer who is not a business representative acting on behalf of your business

If you submit such information anyway, you do so at your own initiative. If we identify sensitive personal information within material you have sent us, we may delete it without notice, and we may decline to complete the analysis.

If you believe you have sent us sensitive personal information in error, contact us immediately at contact@renegadepayments.com so that we can delete it.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services, including generating statement analyses and savings estimates
  • Respond to your inquiries, provide quotes, and communicate with you about our products and services
  • Prepare and submit merchant applications on your behalf to processors and sponsor banks when you ask us to
  • Verify information, prevent fraud, secure our systems, and block automated abuse
  • Understand how visitors use our website and improve its design, performance, and content
  • Send marketing and promotional communications, subject to your right to opt out at any time
  • Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

We do not use the contents of your uploaded statements to train publicly available artificial intelligence models.

6. How We Share Information

We disclose information in the following circumstances:

Service providers. We use vendors to host our infrastructure, deliver our website, extract data from documents using artificial intelligence services, provide analytics and session recording, protect against automated abuse, schedule meetings, and send communications. These vendors are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.

Processors, acquirers, and sponsor banks. If you ask us to obtain pricing or submit an application, we share the information necessary for underwriting, boarding, and pricing with the processors, acquiring banks, sponsor banks, and independent sales organizations we work with.

Professional advisors. Attorneys, accountants, auditors, and insurers, where reasonably necessary.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Renegade Payments, our customers, or others.

Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as a business asset.

With your direction or consent. Where you otherwise ask us to share information.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.

7. Statement Analysis: Additional Detail

Because the statement analysis tool is the part of our Services that receives the most sensitive business information, we want to be specific about it.

  • Your uploaded document is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our processing pipeline.
  • Data fields are extracted using third-party artificial intelligence cloud services acting as our service providers under contract.
  • The resulting analysis, including estimated savings, is displayed to you and retained by us so that we can follow up and prepare a proposal.
  • If you proceed toward an application, the extracted data and, where required, the underlying document may be forwarded to a processor or sponsor bank for underwriting.
  • The analysis is an estimate, not a binding quote or an offer. It is generated by automated systems from the document you supplied, may contain errors or omissions, and depends on assumptions about your future processing activity. See our Terms of Service.
  • You may ask us to delete your uploaded document and analysis at any time. See Section 12.

8. Analytics and Session Recording

We use Microsoft Clarity, a product of Microsoft Corporation, to understand how visitors use our website. Clarity collects usage and device data through cookies and similar technologies and can reconstruct a recording of a browsing session, including page views, mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling.

Important points about how we have configured it:

  • Statement analysis results are masked. The area of the page that displays your analysis, including your processing volume, effective rate, fee breakdown, current processor, and written summary, is marked so that its text is replaced with masking characters in your browser before anything is transmitted to Microsoft. The underlying values are not sent to Clarity.
  • Your uploaded document is never sent to Clarity. Session recording captures the page, not the contents of files you upload.
  • Form fields are masked by default under our masking configuration.
  • Microsoft processes the data it receives as an independent controller for its own purposes as well, in accordance with its own terms and privacy statement. You can review Microsoft's privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com.

Clarity runs only with your consent. It is not loaded when you first arrive. A cookie banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies, and the Clarity tag is injected only if you choose to accept. If you decline, or if your browser transmits a Global Privacy Control signal, Clarity is never loaded and no analytics or session recording takes place.

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of any page. See our Cookie Policy for full details and additional browser-level controls.

We also use AWS WAF, a security service from Amazon Web Services, which may present a challenge to verify that you are not an automated bot. This is a strictly necessary security function and cannot be disabled while using the Services.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain business records, comply with legal and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

In general:

  • Inquiry and contact records are retained for the duration of our business relationship and for a reasonable period afterward.
  • Statement analysis submissions and results are retained so that we can prepare and support your proposal and to comply with recordkeeping obligations applicable to merchant applications.
  • Analytics and session recording data are retained according to the retention period of the analytics provider.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. You may request earlier deletion as described in Section 12.

10. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, a web application firewall, and vendor due diligence.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you transmit information to us at your own risk. If you have reason to believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, contact us immediately at contact@renegadepayments.com.

11. Children

Our Services are directed to businesses and are not intended for or directed to anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have some or all of the following rights:

  • Right to know or access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to exceptions
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information, but you may still submit a request
  • Right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights
  • Right to appeal a denial of your request, where provided by your state's law

California residents. In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act: identifiers; commercial information; internet or other electronic network activity information; professional or employment-related information; and, where a business record contains it, financial account information relating to a business. We collect these for the business purposes described in Section 5 and disclose them to the categories of recipients described in Section 6. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding 12 months.

Nevada residents. Nevada law gives certain residents the right to direct a business not to sell covered information. We do not sell covered information, but you may submit a request to the contact details below.

How to exercise your rights

Submit a request by emailing contact@renegadepayments.com with the subject line "Privacy Request," or by calling (725) 291-4911, or by writing to the address in Section 16.

To protect your information, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request, which may include asking you to confirm information already in our records. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

13. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Our website does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because no common standard for them has been adopted. We do honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where required by applicable law, treating it as a request to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information.

14. Marketing Communications and Calls

If you provide your phone number or email address, you agree that we may contact you about our products and services. You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any message, and you can ask us to stop calling or texting by telling us so in any call, by replying STOP to a text message, or by emailing us. We may still send you non-marketing communications relating to a transaction or application you initiated.

For details about the consent you provide when submitting your phone number, see the communications section of our Terms of Service.

15. International Visitors

Our Services are intended for use in the United States, and information we collect is stored and processed in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

16. Changes to This Policy and How to Contact Us

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be indicated more prominently where required by law. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
